EMBERPAW The ginger she-cat laid silently on the cool evening, her amber eyes tilted upward to watch the souls of StarClan dot their way into the sky. Dusk still lingered and Emberpaw was the first apprentice to be curled up in her nest. She'd finished all her tasks particularly early, and was now stuck to occupy her own boredom. She constantly adjusted in her bed, restless as she could be. She was happy to be alone though. She wasn't one for company. But she knew her solitude could not last. The remaining apprentices would find their way back into the den before long, dragging in with them their mindless chit-chat and stories of the day. Emberpaw stared onward with a dull expression and sighed. If only she could fall asleep before then.
ooc: someone please come ruin her evening. she needs it. Cx

(ah I hope warriors are okay) A light breeze rustled through the leaves above camp quietly. Greenleaf would begin soon the tabby she-cat thought absentmindedly as she padded towards the apprentices den. It was a nice night out, and she figured it would be a good time to get to know her clanmates better. Approaching the den, Maplefur poked her head in. "Hey Emberpaw! Wanna go for a walk? Its nice out tonight, isn't it?" She rambled on, speaking loudly as usual.

EMBERPAW A loud, bubbly voice disturbed her quiet thoughts, and Emberpaw turned her head quickly to glare at whoever had just interrupted her rest. It was almost time to go to sleep! Who was that loud at this hour? But her features softened a bit as she found her eyes resting on not a fellow apprentice, but rather Maplefur, a younger warrior, one she'd remembered being an apprentice while Emberpaw was only a wee kit. Yet, she was still slightly hesitant to socialize with her. Warriors made her nervous. Even with Maplefur's youth, the she-cat was more knowledged, more mature. Emberpaw hated to sense her own lack of experience when being around her older peers. It made her feel like there was so much more work to be done. However, she decided a little bit of contact wouldn't hurt her. "Oh, good evening,"
she replied lightly, "I suppose I could use a good walk..." She forced a smile and wobbled to her legs, stretching a bit before looking at Maplefur expectantly. "Lead the way." ooc: indeed. C: [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Maplefur Grinning, Maplefur nodded enthusiastically. "Awesome!" She purred, skipping a bit. As she headed towards the camp entrance, nodding to the cats on guard duty as she passed them, explaining that they were just going for a walk and that she would make sure that they stayed safe. After clearing camp, she looked out into the darkness, drinking in the night air. It was crisp, and nice. A bit chilly for this late in new-leaf, but nothing a quick run couldn't take care of! Hey, now theres an idea! "Hey Emberpaw, wanna' race to the Great Sycamore?" she asked as Emberpaw caught up, eyes as bright and excited as those of a kit. Though she'd been through this forest what seemed like thousands of times, the rush of just running (no matter how bad she was at it) never seemed to fade. 'And Emberpaw had seemed a bit sleepy, so maybe this would help to wake her up' Maplefur thought, nodding to herself.

Darkpaw ran to his new den his excitement making each patch of fur stand on edge. Turning to look for his sister he began to wonder why she wasn't as excited as him. He shrugged it off and dove into the den. He looked around inside to find almost nobody which made him a bit less excited. he laid on a premade nest and began to think of what his warrior name would be.
Dovepaw walked after her brother slowly but steadily. She was sad to leave her adopted mother. Watching her brother as he ran to the den she began to wish she had his excitement. She finally reached the den then looked up at Silverpelt her starry ancestors glaring down on her. May this be fun for me and my brother she uttered hoping they would hear her. She then went into the den and laid in a nest next to her brothers.

EMBERPAW Emberpaw followed Maplefur quietly, keeping her eyes wide as she trailed through the dark forest. The soft sounds of crickets and the distant hoot of an owl filled her ears. Her pupils opened wide to let in as much light as possible in the near-darkness, the last slivers of sunset's light fading into the black sky. The she-cat realized something as she moved along quickly at Maplefur's flank. This was only her third time being out of camp at night, and the first without her mentor or without a real purpose. Emberpaw felt uncertain by her leisurely walk, but quickly dedicated it to herself as gaining more experience in the forest at night. But she halted as Maplefur did, her wide eyes staring at her guide. "Race?
she mewed, "Sure." The speedy apprentice thought she could win, but then remembered that there was no way she'd find her way there first in the dark. She shrugged of the thought, and padded to Maplefur's side. "I'm ready when you are."[/blockquote][/blockquote]
