LIONCLAW The ShadowClan deputy slipped soundlessly over the boarder that separated her clan and WindClan. Moonstar had requested that she do this. Actually it had been no request, he had told her to lead it, then announced it to the whole clan. As he had put it, they where showing the clans that just because the dogs had attacked them, they where still strong. Lionclaw knew that it didn't need to be proven, but as Moonstar told her 'The other clans don't know that, so we need to show then.' Lionclaw wanted to protest, but she just couldn't. If this was Moonstar's fist move, Lionclaw didn't want to know what he was really capable of.
She made sure to stay low in the grass. To hide the werabouts of Lionclaw and her clanmates location. She signaled with her tail for the rest of get clan to get low to the ground as well. The last thing Lionclaw needed was to be spotted by a WindClan patrol. If they found her before she found them, Lionclaw would need to think fast. But if she found them, it would be fine, and she would have time to think it over in her head, then strike.
Then she stopped, Lionclaw was waiting at the edge of the grass for a patrol to come by. If the coast was clear, then she could go and strike. Lionclaw just kept going over the battle plan in her head. If she could get to camp, then wreck as much as she could, Moonstar told her it was ok to kill a cat as well. She would not. That was the she could not to kill another cat. For one, it is against the warrior code, and two, she wouldn't even be able to bring herself to do it. Not another living cat. Yes she killed prey, but that was not even close to being the same as killing another cat.

Ratstar ran carrying a plump brown rabbit. dropping the fresh kill he looked around. spotting no other cat, he began to pick a tick out of one of his brown tufts of fur. he then sniffed the air just in case if there was another rabbit nearby. breathing in the scents around him he scented something unusual.

Luckystrike trudged forward, figuring he would mark the borders before he made his way back to camp. His sprint after the rabbit earlier had scared off most of the prey in the moorland and the sun had been beating down so hard that he couldn't take the heat much more. The russet colored tom paused at one of the borders, his body tensing over in anger and fair annoyance when he scented Shadowclan. The thing was it was fresh, too. The Windclan deputy but down a soft growl and silently stalked after the scent, disgust growing each time it grey stronger and stronger. He paused when he spotted Ratstar close by where the Shadowclan patrol was hiding out and crept up to him, his tail flicking in fury. "Do you smell that, Ratstar? Shadowclan had been on our territory.. And I do believe they still are." He growled softly in annoyance to his leader, his ears laying back on his head in annoyance.

Frostbite snickered flanking Lionclaw waiting for her word to attack, many tail lengths away she could just make out the figures of other cats that did not belong to her clan. She smiled pleased, her body tense and ready to kill another cat. She had no trouble doing such a thing as she was such a block of ice it scared so of her fellow members. It was exactly what made her a well known fighter by all clans. He ruthlessness was consider unnatural as all cats had their limits she did too but no need to show them on the battle field.
Her haunches ached a bit as she had been crouched for a while. When suddenly a cat whispered to another asking when they would strike she turned around glaring at them till they fell silent. She had some authority over others as they did fear her quite a bit but not like Lionclaw who many feared greatly in the clan as she was seen to other younger cats as the most skilled warrior, well deputy to ever been in Shadowclan. She snickered Lionclaw was a great deputy but not that great. She respected her to a degree as Lionclaw had earned the respect but other than that she was just loyal to the clan. Her ice blue eyes flickered away from the she-cat's pelt to the figures in the distance.
(Hope you don't mind me boosting your cat. I wanted Lionclaw to seem great as she seems like a great cat to me. If you would like me to change it I will.)

Ratstar nodded silently as he glared his leafy eyes down on the Shadowclan hiding place. I know this Luckystrike He hissed back to his deputy. Smiling he took a step toward them. Snickering he dropped into a hunters crouch his leafy eyes still baring down on the Shadowclan hiding place. Using his small height, he had hoped that that he had fulled the Shadowclan invaders into thinking he was an apprentice. It is sad we can see there mixed pelts in there. he said still pretending to be an apprentice.

LIONCLAW Lionclaw layed low in the grads. Her amber eyes on the lookout as she sat. She noticed Ratstar, the WindClan leader. He was the youngest leader, also the smallest but Lionclaw was still younger then he was. He was 27moons, while she was she was 20moons. So of she ever became leader, she would be the youngest but not even close to the smallest. He looked like an apprentice. But Lionclaw was not fooled. She had seen him enough times. Even if he was an apprentice, Moonstar did not careless, he told her to do whatever it took.
Lionclaw could feel the breath of Frostbite on her flank. The white warrior would have probably been Moonstars next choice to be his deputy. Lionclaw did wonder why he had not choosen her, and why he had choosen Lionclaw instead. But it did not matter know, what mattered was that she needed to stay focased. Then she caught the sent if Luckystrike. He was the WindClan deputy. Lionclaw wonders if it was a patrol, only two cats each. It couldn't be. But it was still a group of cats. So this would be what ShadowClan was up against. So easy.
Lionclaw caught word from the two. They knew that she and her clan was there. Lionclaw couldn't believe when Ratstar made himself look small. He was trying to look like an apprentice. How stupid did he think they where. How stupid was he? Apparently enough to think that she would gall for him being an apprentice Valdosta thatche would think they cared if he was an Aporentice it not. Lionclaw just waited for them to do something that could give her the chance to make their move. She motioned with her tail for her clan to be ready to ambush.

.Spottedblade.
Spottedblade was tired from a long day of warrior duties added on to having to train his young apprentice. Currently he was in the tall grass basking in the sunlight. He liked it here, it helped clear his mind. He looked and saw Luckystrike and the leader Ratstar and could sense the how tense their muscles looked. That's when he noticed the scents in the air that told him someone was near... Shadow Clan!

Frostbite rolled her eyes when the Windclan leader tried to make himself look like an apprentice. Everyone knew he was the smallest leader why try to play as if your not? She had heard enough descriptions of him to know it was him position beside his deputy. She was frankly amused and let out a small snort. Windclan wasn't that bright now was it? She positioned herself to a better attack as Lionclaw signaled to be ready. Her ice blue eyes filled with enjoyment as she imagined her jaws clamping on the deputy. After all she was a pretty evil cat.
—----------------------------
Brooksplash was out an about when she smelt her leadet not far from where she was burying her prey. Her eye brow furrowed and those sea foam eyes filled with worry. What on earth could have drawn her leader out of camp? She feared it was either a raid or enemy cats. She hoped dearly it was not. She didn't like to fight and always sought for peace but just because she didn't like the art of combat didn't mean she wasn't skilled.
She followed her nose spotting her leader and deputy. She padded up besides Luckystrike dipping her head at both before speaking her tone motherly and worried. As she smelt the freshness of Shadowclan's scent. This made her tail lash in annoyance and worried. Why was Shadowclan always starting things. This was why no cat like to help them in need except for good goodie Thunderclan she thought as she spoke.
"Whats wrong? Enemy cats?"

Yes they are Shadowclan cats. he hissed to Brookspalsh. Ratstar then sniffed the air once more. His eyes went wide as he walked down to the Shadowclan hiding place. Run now, there is a badger !!!!! he said his fear making his voice shaky.
CHANGING CHARRIE)--------------~~~~~~~~~--------------- Wolvenclaw growled as he smelled cats outside of his den. Swiftly he ran out and pushed his head into the tall grass surrounding him. He looked up and watched as a cat ran down to another patch of grass. Growling he began to crawl out of the grass.

Brooksplash eyes narrowed at her leader. His unnecessary hiss towards her made her think a little less of him. Was he so unprepared as a leader that under pressure like this he was brutal to his own clan mates that simply asked a question? She was more hurt by his harsh hiss than actually mad at him. She turned spotting a badger and darting away heading closer to Thunderclans border and the gorge.
--—--------------—------—-------
Frostbite didn't move as the badger hadn't seem to notice the Shadowclan ambush group. She snapped at a near by cat who tensed to flee she hissed at them in such a manner it silenced anyone else who happen to be panicking. Instead she spoke directly to Lionclaw.
"Should we return to our borders before it see's us? As its bound to after it's done chasing the scrawny cats who call themselves Windclan. No need to lose good warriors to a badger when it isnt our fight."
Her tone was icy but soothing also incredibly persuading. She shifted on her paws waiting for Lionclaw's command. Yes she was ruthless but she knew when to fight and when not too. Not every battle could be won and you didn't need to get involved with everyone either if you couldn't. This is one of those moments not to get involved unless the badger approached. But seeing how it seem to be very focused on the Windclan leader and deputy they had enough time to get over their boarders unnoticed or so she hoped.

wolvenclaw narrowed his eyes as he starred at the poor small windclan leader. he charged toward him and the large grass patch as he planed to whack the cat away and check what the cat was searching for in the grass.
CHANGING CHARRIE-------------~~~~~~~~~~------------- Ratstar watched as the badger ran toward him. He then unsheathed his claws and let his fur stand up as he was ready to fight the badger even if it meant guarding the Shadowclan cats.

LIONCLAW Lionclaw sank even lower in the grass. The sent of a badger hit her nose. Great, know she had to deal with a badger. But maybe she should stay and have her clan go back to the boarder. She could make sure it didn't go to ShadowClan territory, then go and get the rest of her patrol to continue the raid. If they did that, the badger may just be helping them to weaken them. It would make her job a lot easier on her clans part. Lionclaw would need to tell Frostbite to go back to the boarder and wait there for her to come and get them.
"Should we return to our borders before it see's us? As its bound to after it's done chasing the scrawny cats who call themselves Windclan. No need to lose good warriors to a badger when it isnt our fight."
It was like Frostbite had read Lionclaws mind. She was kind of glad to have the warrior at her side. Frostbite was just about 7moons older then Lionclaw was, so she had a little bit more experience then she did. So know she just needed to tell Frostbite what she wanted her to do. "It's like you read my mind," Lionclaw mewed not looking back at the white warrior. She needed to keep an eye on the badger. "Know, I want you to take the rest of the warriors to out boarder, but stay close to WindClan territory. I'll stay here to wait and see when it's gone, also to make sure it does not stray twords our boarder. Once the badger is out, I'll come get you so we can proceed with the raid." Lionclaw mewed quietly, but her eyes still did not waver from the badger.

Frostbite tensed at Lionclaws words to stay behind she didn't necessarily agree with them as she didn't want any cat from her clan hurt but knew there was no use trying to change her mind. Lionclaw was pretty stubborn and she knew that well. Her eyes watching the Windclan leader face the badger bravely but she knew it wouldn't be long before he lost his first life. Windclan cats were fast and agile but that did not stop a rampaging badger, nothing did besides flood or fire. The she cat just nodded a bit agreeing half heartedly as she spoke to Lionclaw again.
"Great minds think alike more often than they speak on it."
With those words in the air she whipped around facing the over. Snapping at a few that didn't seem to want to fall back. She lead them closer to their border with out much of a problem. Once all of them had cross she nodded to a warrior name Thornheart who asked permission to go see his kits in the nursery. She watched everyone disappear before slipping back over the border to Windclan. She had three mottoes and the one in play now was: No cat will be left behind whether in danger or not. That motto meant to her both mentally and physically.

Wolvenclaw growled as he slammed into the scrawny cat. Swinging his massive paw. He hit the cat away from the grass. Then sniffed the grass the Shadowclan cats had left. Growling he scratched his giant paw through the grass patch. He was frustrated with himself for not figuring that out sooner.
changing charrie)-----------~~~~~~~~~-----------
Ratstar hissed as the badger slammed into him. Without getting back on his paws again, he was sent flying by a swing of the badgers paw. Slamming into the ground hard the breath had been knocked from him. Slowly he got up to his paws just to catch a glance of the badger slashing through the Shadowclan hiding place. Growling he ran toward the badger.

.Spottedblade.
Spottedblade tensed as the other clanmates started to notice the Shadow Clan cats. Then, a new danger arose; BADGER! Spottedblade ducked as the large beast tore into the field and made a b-line for Wind Clan's leader, Ratstar. Spottedblade hissed and jumped on the creature's hind, sinking his claws in his flesh and biting it.

Mintleaf was worried. ShadowClan was raiding WindClan, and cats were going to get hurt. All she could do was get herself and her apprentice, Barkpaw, ready for whatever came their way. As she stood there, in her den within the camp, she prepared a mental checklist of any/all things she would possibly need. Cobweb, Juniper, Marigold, Broom, Comfrey... Hopefully I won't need most of these but, it's good to be prepared I guess... Checklist complete, she called out for her apprentice. "Barkpaw! I need you here, now!"

.Barkpaw. The small brown medicine cat apprentice hurried to his mentor's side. He was frightened, his eyes showing the terror he felt, but he was brave, and would do whatever Mintleaf asked or needed of him. He was young, and this was the first major battle between clans he had ever taken part in. Although he wasn't to fight, he would be needed when the wounded warriors returned. He helped Mintleaf gather and sort the herbs. Reminding himself of the names and uses of each. Some of them only made the tom more nervous. Would it really be so bad? he thought, scared to ask his question out loud. He looked up at Mintleaf with wide, hazel eyes. Then returned his attentions to helping.
