"What I meant was that the weather would be nice if it wasn't so hot," Duskstar meowed blinking. Just being around him made her want to look her best around him. "At least the heat doesn't keep this fish away," she meowed calmly. "I've noticed how the clan mates look at you, and I think its rude, you see people use to look at me that way to after I lost my parents and first mentor," she told him.

Crowflight cocked his head, why was she telling him? Did she feel bad for him because if that was the case he didn't need her pity. He preferred to be alone and everyone dislike him as it made it much easier to complete his goal: BE ALONE. He would never say that out loud though and one could no even think that possible unless they became a mind reader. He nodded at her not sure if he should speak or not but he did anyway. He learn to speak on his thoughts sometimes and this was one of those times unfortunately.
"Why? You would expect them to show kindness no? I mean this clan is practically a school of fish always sticking together... "
He was going to ask her if she had killed them but felt it was better not to either she would tell him or she wouldn't he didn't know why he had a sudden interest in her words. But he suspected it had to do with her feeling pain like him except it was different in a way he guess. He didn't know but didn't like it at all.

"You know you don't have to avoid your clan mates, I admit that after my parents died I snapped at everyone, I told my sister to stop being a cold hearted cat, being alone will only make you say things you don't mean to say, so I made a vow, one I regret making, you'll do stuff that will disappoint others, but you'll learn from those mistakes," Duskstar meowed gazing at him her gaze not giving anything away. "The point is, is that pushes others away will make you snap," Duskstar meowed watching the fish swim around. 'She couldn't tell him how she felt she had made a promise one she regreted, but she had to stay by it didn't she?' she asked herself frowning.

Crowflight just merely nodded he didn't believe that fact of snapping unless something tramatic had happen. He had loss his brother yes but that did not make him near snapping point. Even when his brother was around he preferred solitude. That was just the type of cat he was, he was antisocial soul while his brother had been out going. His reason for silence now was the fact that everyone seem to dislike him after his brothers death. He didn't want to speak with cats that didn't want him around. If she was trying to get him to talk to them she could think again. He didn't care if she order him, he'd have to choose to disobey no one was going to force him to talk to other cats. He'd die before that happen, and knew that for a fact. He choose simple words so his anger wouldn't burst through his jaws.
"Uh well I suppose, if you view it that way... although your situation is differ than mines which is probably why you view it that way. I'm sorry things happen to you the way they did."
His tone was even but clearly trying to dip to a softer tone but that was difficult for him. He was a normal calm cold soul. He didn't have a problem with any of the cats that had problems with him. Which was why the exiled him to this point but like I said earlier he didn't mind much he enjoyed it frankly. But why his leader was pursuing something else he was unsure. Maybe she was confused with him. But it was clearly an honor she had told him this so he took that as a sign of respect.

"Well, I still don't bond well with my clan mates I'm to series about my duties to really seek friendship with my clan mates," Duskstar meowed snating a fish out of the water and killing it. "Not thst I don't like my clan mates there great and everything, but I feel like I can't relate wall to any of my clan mates," she meowed.

"Sometimes you don't need to have bond with your clan mates but as leader you will need to have a few. So I suggest you talk to cats you think your comparable with like Hollowwisp."
He felt Hollowwisp was a good nature cat and someone a she-cat could easily open up to but then again he never could tell with she-cats. He shook his head as she killed the fish, she had quiet the temper it seemed.

"Well, I choose he as deputy, because she was the right choice, she has never let me down, so in a way I am grateful to her," Duskstar meowed then glanced at the sky surprised to see that it was already getting dark.

Crowflight nodded on that thought, watching her look at the darkening sky. He rose to his paws, turning away beginning to walk away but he paused looking back over his shoulder calling out to his leader.
"I think we should head back to camp."
He was feeling awkward on why and what was the purpose of his leader opening up to him. Just because cats felt comfortable telling him things did not mean he would open up back. He was not that type of cat and surely his leader knew that or she didn't know him as well as she claimed.

Duskstar had forgotten about the rest of the clan, but his attitude had reminded her that she was leader and about the promise she had made."You head back, I think I'll fish for awhile," she meowed stiffly her face emotionless. 'Its better if I treat him like any other warrior,' she thought waiting for him to leave, because right now she wanted to be alone and wanted to escape from the feelings that he made her feel and she couldn't do that if he was beside her. She just hoped that her attitude didn't hurt his feelings, because she just wasn't good at sparing others feelings, and she couldn't really help it.
