LIONCLAW Lionclaw slipped from the warriors den. She had to admit, the sun over-head was baking the camp. It was defiantly going to be nice to walk under the shade of all the trees around ShadowClan territory with the wet ground of the marsh to cool her paw-pads as she walked. It was not yet sun-high, so it would get a lot hotter then it already was. Lionclaw was going to be training her new apprentice today. It was just going to be basic hunting and maybe fighting. Lionclaw had only ever had one apprentice, but he had been killed when the dogs attacked the clan a few moons ago.
Know she had Crystalpaw to train. She wanted to make sure that this apprentice would be the best that Lionclaw could make her. Maybe if Moonstar tried to pull anything, Lionclaw could try and get Crystalpaw to help her. But she would think more about that when the right time came. This was not the right time. It was to early to tell if Moonstar was going to try anything with the rest of the clans. If he did, Lionclaw would not allow it. But that would put her at risk of putting her on Moonstars list. His list of cats that he would get once he had all the power.
Lionclaw shook her head of the thoughts. Moonstar had done nothing, but Lionclaw still didn't trust him. Pushing all those thoughts to the back of her mind, Lionclaw made her way over to the warriors den. Crystalpaw was going to learn she needed to get up early if she was to be the best warrior that Lionclaw knew that she could be. The she-cats head slipped into the apprentice den her amber eyes focased on Crystalpaw. "It's time to wake up and train," Lionclaw hissed in a low voice that would hopefully wake up the apprentice, since Crystalpaw was currently the only one, Lionclaw did not need to fear waking any other apprentices.
Lionclaw slipped away from the apprentice den, her pelt shining in the early morning sun. Crystalpaw should be getting up and out into camp on he'd own, Lionclaw should not need to wake her up herself. Well, she could learn soon enough. Lionclaw was confident Crystalpaw would become a great warrior of ShadowClan. That Lionclaw was sure of. The deputy may be young, but she was still smart and knew what was right and what was wrong. Lionclaw's head was high as she made her way to the camp entrance. Lionclaw was going to take her apprentice to the marsh first today.

Crystalpaw stretched as she was awoken by her mentor. she looked at the entrance and scurried out into the morning sun. she smiled and looked around spotting her mentor at the entrance to camp. she rushed over as fast as her little paws could go. and then stopped at her mentors side. "good morning lionclaw, what are we doing today?" she asked as she sat covering her front paws with her tail.

LIONCLAW Lionclaw sat at the enhance of camp, for a very small amount of time. It wasn't long at all before the lion-like she-cat spotted her apprentice. Lionclaw didn't know much about the she-cat at all. Lionclaw didn't pay that much attention. Just to what was going on that she really should know about. Like how the prey was doing, and if the other clans where being friendly and peaceful. They had been for a while, but who knows if they still where, Shadetar had died almost a moon ago. A lot could happen in a moon. A lot could happen in only one day.
"Good morning Lionclaw, what are we doing today?"
Lionclaw was shaken from her thoughts by the voice of her apprentice. She still couldn't get her mind off of Moonstar. What if he really didn't mean to keep peace among the clans? What if he really wanted to rule over them. Or to keep ShadowClan over a tight rule. If he was trying to take over the clans, why did he make Lionclaw his deputy? Lionclaw didn't want to take over the clans. She wasn't a cat that wanted to take over. She loved her clan, it was all that she really wanted, all that she really needed.
Lionclaw again got lost in her thoughts once more. She really needed to stop doing that. Lionclaw needed to learn to listen to the cat that was right in front of her. It was time that she payed attention to Crystalpaw. Lionclaw was training her, and needed to train her by paying attention to her. "Well, today we will be training in hunting. But we may just do some battle training as well," Lionclaw told her. Her amber eyes shifting to the territory. Her body also followed behind. She flicked her tail for Crystalpaw to follow behind her.

Crystalpaw smiled when she heard her mentor say what they were doing today. if she wasn't scared of waking the other members of the clan she probably would have squealed like a kit. she looked at her mentor and began to follow looking over her shoulder to her den and worried about what might happen as she had heard stories about the dogs.
she staid silent as she was thinking about what could happen if the dogs came back and caught her in a trap then what would she do. she was waiting expecting to see what she thought a dog looked like to come rushing out of the bushes.

LIONCLAW Now, Lionclaw was going to give Crystalpaw her full attention. That was what she wanted to give to the apprentice, a good mentor that actually listened to what she had to say, or if she any questions at all about anything. Like the battle move, or the hunters crouch. Lionclaw would tell her what she knew, she was deputy, she had to have something to pas onto an apprentice. But Lionclaw just needed to find out what it was that set her apart from every other warrior out there. Was it her battle skills? What was it? The question was just eating at her.
Lionclaw noticed that Crystalpaw was being very quiet. Just to make sure that she was still there, Lionclaw looked over get shoulder at the apprentice. When she looked back, she almost ran into a tree, swerving to the side, Lionclaw just missed it. Taking one mote glance back, she noticed that Crystalpaw was glancing around with a somewhat scared look. Lionclaw wondered if it was the dogs. Since they had been driven out, no cat felt safe around here. Even Lionclaw was a little cautious, even if she was the one to lead the patrol that ran them out hopefully for good.
As the ground under Lionclaws paws began to grow wet, she knew that they where just about to the center of the marsg. That was where Lionclaw would be training her apprentice. It was a good spot, because it would be hard, and if it was hard when you learn it, when the ground is dryer, you will feel even more confident about your abilities. That was how Lionclaw was planning on training her apprentice. Most warriors started of easy, but not Lionclaw, this was going to be how Crystalpaw became a great warrior, by working hard, and giving it all that she had.

Crystalpaw began to look back at her mentor as she began to feel the marsh land under foot. "Lionclaw where are we" she looked around across as far as she could see. She began to think they were heading to train in another clan's territory.

LIONCLAW The soggy ground of the marsh continued to soak threw her paws. Lionclaw could hear a squishing noise as she padded. She knew that some of the other clans could hate the feeling under their paws. ThunderClan was so used to the dry ground under their paws. They would hate to live in ShadowClan terrtory. Concitering that it was for the most part, marsh. ThunderClan would not even stand it here. It was just the same with WindClan, they just ran around all day on that open moorland. They had all that open land, and didn't even know what shade was.
Lionclaw where are we?"
Lionclaw didn't even look back at Crystalpaw, they where already there. In the center of the marsh, where it was the soggiest, the deepest, and the wetest. This was Lionclaw's favorite spot. She glanced over at the large fallen tree that she used to spend a lot of her own free-time. It was her very favorite spot in the whole clan territories. Well, it was time that Lionclaw started to teach her apprentice. It had been a while since she had trained one, but she was confident. "Well, this is where we will be training," Lionclaw told the young-apprentice.
Lionclaw figured that she should see just how much that she had to work with. Maybe she should see just how much that Crystalpaw knew about hunting. Then once she saw that, she could go and see what potential skills that Crystalpaw possessed. Was she a speed fighter, or was she a strength fighter. Either way, she must have a few skills that Lionclaw could help her embrace. Hopefully, it was strength, because that was what Lionclaw could work the best with. "Let me see your hunters crouch," Lionclaw mewed to her apprentice. She needed to see what Crystalpaw already knew before she tried to teach her anything.

Crystalpaw dropped down low to the ground her tail coiled down low as-well. She closed her eyes and wiggles her hind quarters and leaped up onto the fallen tree. Did i do it right Lionclaw? she asked.
