Haresprint. The night was clear, with only the Half-moon, and a thousand starry ancestors to shed light on the four territories. Yes, the Half moon; that meant that it was time for the Medicine cats of all clans to join at the Moonstone and share tongues their starry ancestors. Now the moon rode high in the sky, and it was time for the cats to arrive before Mothermouth.
Amongst this group was Haresprint, the Windclan Medicine cat, and his apprentice, Hallowpaw. They picked their way through the red-toned rocks with a businesslike look about them...well, that goes for Haresprint, anyway. His handsome, black and white pelt had not a hair out of place. And as for Hallowpaw, he thought that she looked as cloudlike as ever. That wasn't to say she wasn't pretty, though. She had her own fluffy beauty about her.
As well, the Windclan Medicine cat wasn't quite as tense as usual. He had grown accustomed to each and every one of his fellows, and a few of their apprentices. So why worry? He'd even get to escape the world to the skies for a bit, to learn from his ancestors. Perhaps they'd even have a prophecy for the clans! His pelt became rigid with excitement as he paced around a rock. Just as the moon took it's place beside a thick gray cloud, the grasses around him began to rustle.
Someone was here!

MUDSTEP Mudstep walked quietly in step with Cherrypaw, occasionally uttering to her a bit of knowledge about Highstones and Mothermouth and other medicinal jib jab he'd been told back in his days as an apprentice. He kept his eyes out for the other medicine cats, wondering how they'd been since their last meeting. What the news was from the other clans. He'd known of ShadowClan's recent attacks onto WindClan and ThunderClan as well. It made him nervous; his clan was still untouched. Would StarClan provide some wisdom to this strange turn of events in their previously peaceful times? Or if they couldn't, perhaps ShadowClan's medicine cat, Mintleaf, would provide some insight. He wasn't one to worry, but now, all signs pointed to turmoil in the clans.
Mudstep turned to make sure Cherrypaw was still following as they approached Mothermouth. "I got one fair warning," he said quietly to his apprentice, "It's a little dark. Stay close to me." But before he could enter, he caught notice of another cat - Haresprint, of WindClan. He grinned and quickly cut course from Mothermouth. He lazily strode over to the tom and his own apprentice, a fluffy little she-cat. He nodded a hello to her, and turned his attention fully to the fellow medicine cat. "Greetings, Haresprint. You haven't missed me too terribly, have you? he teased, a playful gleam in his eye despite the nerves in his stomach.

Mintleaf was walking sedately towards Highstones, with Barkpaw, her apprentice, in tow. This would be a special night for her new apprentice, she decided... it was time for him to be formally accepted by StarClan, and start his medicine cat journey properly.
As she walked, she scented the cats that were already there. Haresprint, of WindClan, and Mudstep, of RiverClan. Each of them had their apprentices, just another reason for her to be excited.

HALLOWPAW -
Hallowpaw walked alongside Haresprint with excited blue eyes, her body quivering with excitement as she glanced around with wide eyes. This, of course, was her fire medicine cat meeting as Haresprint's apprentice and she was excited to see the moonstone and meet the other medicine cats. She had been talked nonstop since they left the camp, as was her nature. "We're goin' to the moonstone, we're goin' to the moonstone!" She giggled in her high pitched, sing-song, voice as she bounced beside her mentor. "What're the other medicine cats like, Haresprint? Are they nice? They aren't stern, right?" She babbled, pausing in step and suddenly becoming quiet at the sound of rustling undergrowth. She paused and frowned faintly, suddenly shrinking back behind Haresprint in hesitance but brightening back up when she saw it was just another medicine cat. She noticed his nod and smiled, giving a small nod of reply before glancing back up at Haresprint curiously.

.Barkpaw. Barkpaw tags along with his mentor, Mintleaf. He tried to stay as close to her as possible without touching her. He was excited to be going to the Moonstone. He was also excited to meet the other medicine cats and their apprentices. Excited yes, but that excitement was tainted by the fear he felt. Sure the Medicine Cats lived by a different set of rules, but would they judge him for being Shadowclan? Would they blame him? Would they be mean? He had hesitated to cross the Shadowclan boarder, and ever since, had been jumpy and on edge. His eyes wide, his body stiff. He kept scanning the area, fearing danger. He knew it was stupid, and that Mintleaf wouldn't let him come to harm, but still the feeling wouldn't go away. He was excited to become the official Shadowclan Medicine Cat Apprentice, but at what cost? Was there any way he could show the other clans that Shadowclan wasn't so bad, and that they could, and should, be trusted to? Or would the recent attacks only bring more violence for him and his clan mates? What is it like? he asked Mintleaf to shake the fear. Just then his nose and mouth was flooded by the mingled scents of the other clans. His claws slid out and he hissed, before realizing that it was just the other Medicine Cats and their apprentices. He quickly licked his chest in embarrassment before hurrying to catch up with his mentor.

Mintleaf could definitely sense her apprentice's fear. What she didn't understand was what he was scared of. Meeting the other clan cats, perhaps, or the fear of finally being before Mothermouth to be accepted... Mintleaf could definitely understand Barkpaw's fear on that count. It was the same fear she had felt herself, all that time ago. Briefly, she thought of Smokestripe, safely back at camp, waiting in her den due to his tail...
Suddenly her apprentice's nervous question pierced her mind-wander. She purred at the question What is it like? and made up her mind as to what to reply to the nervous apprentice. Finally, she settled on "What is it like? It is a chance to meet friends you will continue to respect for many moons. If you think about it, Barkpaw, All of these cats have everything in common with us. In fact, i'm sure Haresprint had to cope with these sorts of questions from his apprentice, and Mudstep with his. So, it's fine. If you're at all worried, remember, you have me. Although, I honestly don't think you'll need me. You'll be having so much fun you'll forget i'm even there until it's time to go home!" She licked her apprentice on the top of the head, to reassure him that there really was nothing to worry about, before she laid her tail across his shoulders, a sign to be quiet until she had discovered who was there.
