Goldenheart walked to tall pines and sat down his ears pricked for the sounds of prey, but his mind was far from the thought of hunting. He was actually thinking about the death of his mate who had died protecting him from a rogue. Shaking off the thoughts that clouded his mind, he got up letting out a sigh. He wasn't really in the mood to hunt anymore, so he decided to take a walk instead. Sighing he walked around tall pines wondering why he could do instead of wasting the day doing nothing.
"Well I can't really think of anything to do, ands it's getting harder to find prey," he muttered under his breath and paused to lick his paw prinking his ears to hear the sounds of prey or his clan mates. Not hearing either he flopped down under one of the trees and gazed up at the sky letting out a sigh.

.Ashpaw. [/u]
Ashpaw looked around, then scented the air for prey. He had been on a hunting patrol with some of Thunderclan's warriors, but had wandered off to hunt on his own. He spotted a squirrel, gathering the last few nuts for leaf-bare. He crouched, wiggling slightly. He had locked on the large, gray squirrel, when suddenly it darted. It ran toward a tree, then seemed to hesitate, before jumping straight up and grabbing onto the tree. Startles, but indentured, Ashpaw kept on it's train. He could see a large golden lump at the bottom of the tree, but paid it no mind as he charged over in and clawed up the tall tree. The squirrel has stopped on one of the bottom branches, and Ashpaw was able to catch up before it moved. Using a claw to pull it closer, he finished it with a quick bite. Then remembering the golden pile, he looked down, to see an angry golden fuze-ball. Goldenheart! As soon as he realized he had trampled him clanmate, he knew that it wasn't worth it. He scrambled down the tree, being sure not to step on the large warrior again. I'm sorry, I didn't see you. he tried to apologize, but knew that it was a stupid thing to say. He had run straight over the large, golden tom. There had been no way not to see him. Still the gray and orange calico had to try to make it up to Goldenheart, even more so since Goldenheart always seemed to mope as it was, and didn't need to be walked on, literaly in this case.

Goldenheart had let his mind wander when he was suddenly jerked out of his thoughts as the apprentice Ashpaw trampled him. He felt annoyance stir within him flicking his ears as Ashpaw tried to apologize. 'How could he not see me, I hardly blend in,' he thought annoyed before speaking. "I really shouldn't be wasting the day anyway, Goldenheart meowed his voice sounding dead even to his own ears.

Badgertail stepped through the forest with confidence. His head was high and his jaws parted as he drank in the scents of the air. This was not only a hunting patrol, but it was his hunting patrol. Not something that often left him with many happy thoughts. Still he was going to lead well, that he would make sure of. He stopped as a familiar scent pricked his nostrils. Squirrel. The wind had shifted, bringing him the scent from behind. He waved his tail and the patrol stopped, all of them silent as owls in the night. He turned to where the only apprentice in the patrol should have been standing.
"Ashpaw, there's a scent. Tell me what it is and where-" He cut off his quiet whisper as he noticed the patrol behind him. "Where in Starclan is Ashpaw?" He asked. The other cats didn't offer much of an answer. A growl rumbled in his throat in annoyance. "Finish the patrol," He ordered padding away. "I'll catch up with you after I've caught this apprentice who better be lost."
It did not take long for Badgertail to pick up Ashpaw's scent, though it took him a while to notice that both the apprentice and the squirrel scent was comming from the same direction. "Good," He grumbled to no cat, "That tomkit better have caught that squirrel or he's going to be getting very familiar with the elder's den. Running off without telling anyone, bah. What if there was a fox nearby?"
He stopped when he finally saw the apprentice as well as Goldenheart. He didn't know exactly what had happened, but it didn't seem like Ashpaw had been able to resist getting himself into trouble. "Well, Ashpaw," Badgertail mewed making his presence known, "Not only have you managed to catch a squirrel, but a warrior as well, is it? Or did he catch you?"

"He trampled me," Goldenheart meowed when Badgertail came out of no where probably looking for Ashpaw. Then he sat up and began to groom his fur which had gotten messed up when Ashpaw had trampled him. "He said he didn't see me here," Goldenheart meowed letting a little bit of annoyance seep into his dead voice. He flicked his ears gazing at Badgertail wondering what the other warrior would say about. He wasn't one to punish any of his clan mates, but he hadn't slept very well, which was putting him in a bad mood. Not that he showed it his face had been an sad and his eyes were always dull, since his mate had died.

.Ashpaw. [/u]
Ashpaw looked at the golden warrior, knowing that he had upset the tom. He had tried to be polite, one thing that he was never good at being sincere at, but still. The reaction he got out of Goldenheart, which was almost none, pushed him over the edge. He looked down at his fresh kill, the large squirrel, at his paws, then back at Goldenheart.
Well I was hunting. I didn't know you were sleeping under my prey! he spat out, disregarding the fact that he spoke to a warrior.
Just then Badgertail showed up. He looked at the tom, knowing that he had run off from the warrior's patrol. He also knew that Badgertail had every right, and reason, to punish him with clan duties. It wouldn't be the first time the young tom had been clan bound for his actions. He hadn't been an apprentice long, but already he had a reputation going as the trouble maker. Even when he didn't make it, he always found himself in some sort of trouble, and almost always got caught and took the blame without meaning to.
He looked at Badgertail, his eyes defiant. He tried to block me from catching the squirrel! he hissed, still annoyed at the golden cat's lack of emotion.
He knew of the tom's loss, but had never understood why the clan had allowed him to mope when there was work to be done. He had to do more than his share, or so the young tom always seemed to think. He picked up the gray squirrel, and tail high, and head as high as he could hold it with the added weight, he marched off without another word in the direction of the Thunderclan camp.
As he was passing, another warrior from the patrol appeared. I heard voices, is everything alright? the warrior asked, then spotted the apprentice leaving, and the two warriors who both looked troubled and upset about something. Seeing that the apprentice leaving was Ashpaw, this didn't surprise the warrior much. You might as well join us. the warrior offered Goldenheart.

Goldenheart was sad about his mates death, but that wasn't really why he moped in a way he was guilty that he hadn't been able to save her and thought that he had let her down. He almost didn't hear what the warrior said, but he forced a smile one that was convincing and he forced so cheerfulness in his voice. "Of course I'll come," he meowed his eyes were still dull, but the showed with a fierce determination. 'From now on I'll mope in secrete, and I'll pretent to be happy for the sake of the dream,' he thought as he walked past the warrior. His thoughts suddenly on his former apprentice who so happened to still be alive, and his apprentice was like a younger sister to him.
Ooc: I forgot to tell you that his former apprentice and mother is still alive and I'll make them later.

Badgertail's tail flicked. Part of it was anger, part of that was at himself. Ashpaw had scented the squirrel before he did, caught it before he had even noticed it. He was a warrior, he should have been faster. But the apprentice should have allerted the patrol instead of heading off on his own. He heard Ashpaw's explination and his ear twitched. A warrior blocking an apprentice from making a kill? It seemed unlikely. Possible maybe that Goldenheart had been hunting it and Ashpaw charged past and took his kill. He wasn't sure. The story had not been made clear to him and niether cat seemed to be too eager to tell him what happened.
One of the other warriors had caught up to him. he carried no prey, but the scent of mouse was on his fur. He must have made his catch, burried it, and came to join them. He offered for Goldenheart to join the patrol and he accepted. Good, it should probably be that way. Too many cats wandering stray in the forest led to too much scared prey and not enough brought back to camp. Good. "You head that way," He pointed with his tail, "I'll catch up."
He narrowed his blue eyes as Ashpaw padded away. He doesn't think he's getting away that easy does he? Badgertail thought as he saw him head towards camp. He noted the way he kept his tail and head high, almost defiantly. Badgertail bounded after him. He wasn't far so it did not take long to pass the apprentice and stand in front on him. "What exactly do you think you're doing?" He mewed, "You have a patrol to finish. Not to mention an appology to make to Goldenheart." Even though he wasn't quite sure what had happened he hadn't doubted that the apprentice was the one at fault.

Goldenheart wasn't really paying that much attention, because he had just scented a vole and was to focused on trying to pinpoint it. He pinpointed it and dropped into a crouch his eyes narrowing as he began to stalk the vole. He was aware of everything his clan mates around him the light breeze that blew through his fur and the scent of the vole. Soon he spotted the vole and pressed his stomach to the ground before pushing down hard on his hind legs and pouncing. He landed squarely on top of the vole and quickly nipped it's spine killing it.
Then he buried his vole and walked towards Badgertail and Ashpaw flicking his tail. "He already apologized," he meowed blinking, then he gazed up at the sky wishing that it could just be greenleaf. Then he sat down curling his tail over his paws his ears flicking back and forth.

.Ashpaw. [/u]
Ashpaw heard paw-steps in his direction, and knew that they belonged to Badgertail. With a sigh he slowed at the warrior tom passed him. He looked up as Badgertail loomed over him. Now what? he thought, waiting to the leader of his patrol to speak. When he did, Ashpaw knew for a fact that he would be back in the elder's den by dusk. I told you! I was after the squirrel, and Goldenheart ended up in my way. he said, tired of trying to explain himself. This is how his training had been for the last three moons, since he became an apprentice. Sure, that was a very lucky catch, almost unbelievably so, for someone so new.
Even so, it happened. Why couldn't they just leave it at that? No one got hurt, well no one but the squirrel. Why was he being followed? Chain of command. He didn't tell his senior warriors, then he showed them up by catching his target. He looked back at Badgertail, then looked at the ground and started to bury his squirrel. When asked for an apology he looked back at the warrior before him. I... just as he was starting to say that he already did, Goldenheart spoke up. So without another word, he set to his task of burying his kill.
When he looked up, he was slightly surprised to see the golden warrior covering a vole. How did he already catch something? he wondered, miffed that without him Goldenheart would still be asleep. Without his 'accident' the vole would still be alive. But he knew better than to demand credit, not wanting to be punished longer than he already would be. He looked back at the mound of dirt below his paws, then satisfied, he started off again without a word, mouth open to scent prey. Head and tail still high, as he walked away from the warriors. See what they think of that! he thought to himself, satisfied with his accomplishments thus far today. It hadn't started out so good, but since he was going to pay for all of this, he might as well go out with a bang. He planned to have all the fun he could before going back to camp, because only Starclan knew when he would ever leave again.
[/center][/blockquote][/blockquote] OOC: It's fine, and sorry if I sound mean, it's just that Ashpaw is always into something, and becomes defensive easy, he is that way to most everyone. And those he likes are getting into trouble right along side. He doesn't really mean anything by it.

Dovepaw hung in a tree listening to the forest. She head the rustling of the leaves in the distances. She looked in time to see a squirrel grab by a paw of one of her clanmates. She yawned and stood up on her branch and scented the air catching the scent of Goldenheart and Ashpaw. She also caught the whiff of a squirrel in the tree next to her, so she went to retrieve the squirrel. She leaped to the next branch and found the squirrel in front of her she jumped at it hooking it with her front paw then snapping it's neck. Quietly she sneaked back to the tree where she had been and heard cats talking so slowly she walked forward until she found a way down. She came down and went in the direction of her clan mates.
Dovepaw slid into a holly bush and peeked out seeing Badgertail had joined the others. She quietly walked out of the bush and dropped her squirrel on the ground in front of her. Hello guys she said calmly.

"Arrogant furball," Goldenheart growled under his breath his amber eyes flicking around for more prey. If the warrior was calling overs names then he was pretty much back to normal and angry. Before it had been impossible to make him angry, but the apprentice had never been in love so he had no idea how he would act in his place. He glanced towards Dovepaw and dipped his head towards her. A lot of his clan mates thought that he wanted to take out his revenge on the rogues that had killed his mate, but he didn't he didn't see it as honoring her memory."
