HALLOWPAW -
Hallowpaw bounced back into camp, all springy and excited as she followed at her mentors side and talked nonstop, having not seen one thing wrong in the world when she was at the gathering, "Hey, did you know I met the Thunderclan Medicine Apprentice? Did'ya Haresprint, did'ya? She was really nice and all, she was a little quiet, though. Y'know? I don't see why some cats are like that- If you weren't meant to talk then Starclan wouldn't have fitted you with a muzzle, right? I mean, I get those mute cats and all- But c'mon," She murrowed on with her words, her step springy and blue eyes glancing around. Poor Haresprint was probably wishing she was mute instead of partially deaf by then because the little white she-cat had been talking to the tom, weather had had been talking back, since they had left the gathering. Calmly the little she-cat crawled into the den and settled down in her nest, having shoved it up beside Haresprint's because she enjoyed his warmth and the feel of his fur gave her comfort. She stretched and sat up, shifting to lick at her incredibly fluffy fur, not really caring if it stayed flat our not.
Wordcount - 207 Muse - [Good. :3] Comments - I might have possibly been listening to Volitaire when I was thinking of a title for this. xD And then I realized how much this song matched Moonstar and Hypocrisy. x3 I don't even know why I listen to it.. I think it's because I like the violin playing in it. xD It's unique.

Haresprint. ----
Unlike Hallowpaw's springy stride, Haresprint's was calm and casual; his florescent eyes were fixated on nothing but getting back to camp. But, of course, his own personal tumor was yapping in his ear all the while, and he thought he wouldn't have minded a quieter apprentice. When he heard her speaking of the Thunderclan apprentice, his ears perked up. "I suppose," was all he offered. There really wasn't much to say. The medicine cat assumed that she talked because she enjoyed the sound of her own voice, and her questions were more rhetorical than real question. Occasionally, though, he'd find himself becoming too interested in what she was saying, Haresprint would cast a sharp glance over at the young cat.
Then, they reached the medicine den, and he plopped down in his nest. Haphazardly, so did Hallowpaw, and nestled near to him with her ridiculous, cloud-like fur. Haresprint muttered something and lay his head in between his paws. "Good night, Hallowpaw," the tom mewed stiffly. But still, he couldn't help but feel slightly glad with the tiny body near him...and then he was asleep.

HALLOWPAW -
Hallowpaw looked her long pelt over and eventually gave up on making it lay flat. Calmly she shifted over to Haresprint and nestled into his side- Comfortable in her warm fur. "Night Haresprint." She murmured sleepily, laying her head against the side of his shoulder and closing her eyes.
Wordcount - 51 Muse - [Good. :3] Just not a lot to write at the moment. x3 Comments - Omg.. That's the first place I heard this song too! I eventually looked it up on Youtube and found it. x3 Anyways, Yes. That was a cute moment. ^^ So, timeskip to the next day? We can get on with some of her training.

Haresprint. ----
The next day, Haresprint awoke with the sun pouring in from behind the lichen screen. A green tint washed over to the two medicine cats, and flecked the walls with light. Immediately, the tomcat slipped from the nest and poked the sleeping side of his apprentice, truly suprised that she hadn't woken him up. The gathering the night before must've worn her out. "Wake up. I have important things to teach you today." His tail whisked briskly, and his fur stuck out in odd places. Haresprint made a mental note to wash his pelt once Hallowpaw was up and going.

HALLOWPAW -
Hallowpaw was washed away in dream land where she dreamed of chasing down rabbits. Her paw twitched slightly and she slowly opened her eyes at Haresprint's prodding, dazed as she rolled onto her stomach. She stretched and yawned, slowly sitting up and blinking her slightly distorted vision, getting used to the light peaking in behind the lichen. "Morning." She murmured sleepily, slowly beginning to lick down her horribly fluffy white pelt. "What are you gonna teach me today, Haresprint?" She asked, still a little distorted and half asleep as she stood up and stretched her legs.

Haresprint. ----
Haresprint took to cleaning his own pelt, but not before explaining his task. "Today we'll be checking the Elders for ticks!" he announced. The medicine cat then returned to his cleansing, allowing the sleepy apprentice to wake up. Sure, mouse bile and Elders weren't that fun, but it was certainly important. "And you can pick up something from the fresh kill pile afterwards."

HALLOWPAW -
Hallowpaw sleepily groomed her pelt, pausing in horror and looking up when Haresprint explained their task of the day. "What? Gross- Ticks are nasty!" She squeaked, shuddering softly and flicking her ears back against her head in annoyance at the thought of spending a perfectly sunny and warm day in a den cleaning ticks off of the elders. She sighed, grimaced before lifting up a paw and licking it, slowly swiping it over her head afterwards to fix her bed-ridden white fur.

Haresprint. ----
The medicine cat stifled a chuckle before mewing, "Gross is right, but someone has to do it." He could still remember being an apprentice all too well; it was hard to imagine he had been anything else. As he set off for camp, Haresprint thought back briefly to the time he had first learned to remove ticks. "You'll just dab a bit of mouse bile onto the tick's head, and it'll drop right off," he explained, tossing her the mouse he had picked up from the pile.

HALLOWPAW -
Hallowpaw grimaced and make a fake gagging sound under her breath, shuddering at the thought. "Mouse bile's even worse." She mumbled under her breath, flicking her ears back and glancing grimly at the mouse in front of her before sighing softly and tearing the grey fur away from the mouse before gratefully taking a bite of meat. She purred faintly at how delicious it tasted and took another small bite from the mouse before pushing it away. Best do this on an empty stomach, odds are her breakfast would come back up if she had to deal with mouse bile and ticks to much. "I'll finish eating when we get done." She sighed. "And after I drench myself in the river to get the stench of mouse bile off of my paws." She thought to herself before standing back up and looking to Haresprint, a grim set to her mouth. Her white pelt was sticking out in multiple directions but in Hallowpaw's eyes she seemed to look okay enough to go and deal with the elders.

Haresprint. With a nod, Haresprint pushed through the grasses and into the Elder's den, where a few skinny felines shuffled about. The worst part of the whole task was the elders themselves. At least, that was his opinion. One scraggly gray she-cat looked up with a snort of contempt. She immediately began ranting about a large tick behind her ear.
"I-I-um..." Haresprint shuffled his feet, becoming distastefully reclusive. His gaze shifted to the snowy apprentice who had followed him in. "You-I'll get the mouse bile." Then, the young medicine cat slipped into camp once again, leaving Hallowpaw alone for the moment. What he hadn't realized in his flustered state was that she had been the one carrying the mouse bile.

HALLOWPAW -
Hallowpaw slunk into the elders den after Haresprint, a bit less edgy as she glanced around, her ears swiveling slightly. Even though she had hearing problems she could her the old she-cat complaining in her high and shriveled tone and immediately began sulking against the thought of mouse bile and ticks. Uhg. She paused when Haresprint suddenly began stuttering and frowned suddenly, "But, Haresprint- Hold up, I have the-" But he had already left the den in a haste to meet the elders needs. "Mouse bile." She mumbled and sulked back over to the gray she-cat. "Look, just hold still." She mumbled grimly, dunking some moss they had brought along in the mouse bile and shuddered in disgust before pressing the moss to the tick against her ear with a disgusted squeak. "Gross!" She squealed, jumping back when the tick dropped off. "Kill it! Nasty!" She shrieked in horror, immediately backing away.

Haresprint. The old cat shot Hallowpaw a look do fierce, it might've haunted the cat for moons to come. Then she added her screech to the chorus of disgusted trills. "What kinda med'cine car's gonna get all scared of a lil' ole' tick? Why, when I was a yung'un..." her ramblings continued even as Haresprint rushed back into the den. Yet another screech echoed when he accidentally charged headlong into an elder. "Sor-Sor-what happened?"
Haresprint loped back over to Hallowpaw, panting, and expecting the worse. "Fox? Adder?" he guessed. Looking around, he saw not a fox, nor an adder, but a fat tick army-crawling across the threshold. His skilled paw flicked it into the moss and bundled it up. Of course, the tom was angry, but he needed to catch his breath.

HALLOWPAW -
Hallowpaw flicked her ears back lightly at the elder glared at her, continuing on with her nonstop talking. She flinched slightly at the screech when Haresprint ran straight into the she-cat, it had been so loud it made her nearly deaf ears rattle. She looked back at Haresprint and frowned faintly at the look on his face before looking shamefully down at the ground and biting back a small whimper. "Sorry." She whispered quietly, once she had found her voice, before creeping over to a different elder, a dusty brown one with a kinder look in his eyes. "Don't worry about her, child, she has no sense when it comes to treating new apprentices." He mumbled reassuringly. Hallowpaw gave the brown tom a thankful look before carefully beginning to shift through his pelt to search for ticks, trying not to be a huge pain since she knew Haresprint definitely wasn't happy with her.

Haresprint. Haresprint surveyed his apprentice carefully. Eventually, he nodded. She was doing well, that was certain. Now he would just need to take care of the other elder. A few words were exchanged before he finally sat down and began grooming the elder's pelt. Soon, the two would be done, and Haresprint could reveal what they were reallydoing today.
"I bet that was fun," the tom commented when the elder finished relating a story of his kithood shenanigans. He even chuckled a bit, trying to force down his irritation and act happy for Hallowpaw. After all, she'd need encouragement for what they were doing next.

HALLOWPAW -
Hallowpaw quietly flicked her ears back against her head, making it easy to block out all of the sounds around her and put herself in her own little world on silence. She frowned and worked quietly, a little slower at the job since she was still used to it. Eventually she finished grooming and de-ticking the brown elder and slowly lifted her ears up, offering a weak and half hearted smile since he was being nice to her before slowly shifting over to the next elder, a small and fragile seeming she-cat, before grooming through her pelt- A little upset with herself for making Haresprint mad. She stared quietly down at her work, grateful she didn't seem to have any ticks nestled into her fur before looking back over at Haresprint, a little hesitant as she stared at the ground, not meeting it gaze. It was actually quite a pitiful sight if a cat with any sympathy looked at her. "Done Haresprint." She whispered quietly, noticing that they were finished with the elders. There hadn't been that many so she was grateful for that much at least.

Haresprint. Having finished up his task as well, Haresprint stood and nodded, sweeping the bile-covered moss towards the entrance with his tail. He couldn't help but feel disheartened by the sad way about her. The tom had no experience in comforting apprentices, however, and didn't know quite what to do. He finally perked up once they were out of the den, and let his ears stand up straight on his head.
"Well, once we wash our paws we'll need to meet with the other apprentices, and their mentors by the brooke for battle training." he meowed, allowing his whiskers to twitch. He hoped that she'd be at least excited about this task, even though she was hard of hearing. Then, he added. "And I'm not angry with you."

HALLOWPAW -
Hallowpaw stared down at the ground as she quietly slunk out of the den, trailing a few paces back from Haresprint while her blue eyes focused on the grains of sand on the ground. She paused to glance at him, confusion in her blue eyes as she saw him seem to perk up and enter a seemingly happier aura. "Really?" She murmured softly, slightly perking up at the thought of training but glancing at him unsurely when he said he wasn't mad. "That elder didn't really seem to like me." She sighed softly, shifting her eyes down to focus on the sand in front of her again. "You like me.. Right, Haresprint?" She asked lightly, glancing back towards the tom.

Haresprint. Haresprint looked down slightly, watching the apprentice with eyes flecked with something close to fondness. He felt glad that she had perked up. "Of course, Hallowpaw," he reassured, voice matching her soft tone. In fact, the medicine cat loved his apprentice like his own kit, but he wasn't about to tell her that. That was a truth that might go with him to his dying day. "Of course..."

HALLOWPAW -
Hallowpaw glanced at Haresprint, brightening up at hearing him say that. "Good, 'cause I like you too." She answered, a small purr lingering in her throat as she gave her mentors shoulder a friendly lick before glancing forward with happy growing blue eyes. "So.. We're going to the brook to train?" She said thoughtfully, a small smile at her maw of the thought of it.

Haresprint. Haresprint sighed, feeling the cloudlike creature's tounge rasp along his shoulder. He contemplated the question, before looking back up. "Yes. The ground is soft there, so you won't fall as hard when I whip your tail." he joked, suprised by his own lighthearted mew. For some reason, he felt more at ease. Perhaps it was the comfort of having a companion after so long. In a few more long strides, they arrived. Haresprint weaved his way through the cats to find an empty place to train.
